FAQs

What services do you provide?

I’m often asked to address envelopes and to provide calligraphy services for events, including escort cards, table cards, gift card tags, signs, etc. Calligraphy takes time, so please book ahead.

Do you offer different styles/How do I select a style?

I offer a range of broad edge, pointed pen, and monoline styles. With hand calligraphy and the variation of paper and materials, each job is unique. Please note that some paper is not well-suited for calligraphy in general or for certain styles.

I have a style sheet and also have samples of my work on Instagram. With envelopes, my goal is always for the completed work to be clean, beautiful and legible.

How do I format my list (for envelopes)?

I request that lists be created in or converted into a document format (no spreadsheets please) - addresses stacked as they would appear on a label and centered. Please write out “and”, unless an ampersand (&) is preferred. I might need to drop a name to the second line if the text is too long. Zip codes can be written out alone or on the same line as city and state, depending on space.

What is the cost of hand calligraphy?

The charge for each standard, unlined and somewhat translucent envelope written in black ink is $4. Please contact me for additional pricing.
